The campsite provides a tranquil base within easy reach of the Lakeland Fells or Windermere and Keswick.The countryside is a stroll away, offering walks to suit all abilities. A two minute walk takes you into the heart of the village with all its facilities.
You can take a leisurely stroll in the nearby woods or ramble on the gentle fells that offer wonderful views of the Lake District mountains to the North and the sands of Morecambe Bay to the South.

The Cistercian Way - A 33 mile walk through the Furness and Cartmel Peninsulas, a landscape trodden by monks, merchants, miners and fishermen. The route links in with several railway stations and can be completed in several easy stages with a variety of cosy and luxurious accommodation to choose from as you explore.
The Furness Way - Meanders for about 75 miles from Arnside on the Eastern side of morecambe bay to Ravenglass on the Irish Sea, passing through Lindale, Cartmel and Haverthwaite.
The Cumbria Way - A 70 mile wals through the Lake District's most breath taking scenery. Showcasing the natural history of the area it links the charming town of Ulverston with historic Carlisle.

Grizedale Forest - Internationally renowned for its forest sculptures, Grizedale Forest Park offers the complete day out with an extensive range of activities and adventures for all ages. A guidemap can be purchased from the Visitor Centre which shows all the trails and waymarked routes, sculptures and viepiunts in detail.
